Since opening in Prescot in 2013, Pup Paws has been built around a simple idea: dogs deserve to be treated with patience, kindness, and the same care you would give your own. That means taking time, building trust, and creating a calmer salon experience for every dog that comes in.
Some dogs bounce in happily from day one, while others need a softer approach and a little longer to settle. Either way, the aim is the same: a lovely groom, a positive experience, and owners who feel completely comfortable leaving their dog with us.
Why the no-cage philosophy matters
For anxious, older, rescue, or very young dogs, a noisy salon with lots of waiting around can be overwhelming. Pup Paws avoids cage grooming and cage drying entirely, so dogs are supervised closely, handled gently, and never left to sit and stress in a kennel while they wait their turn.
